PNoy signs law retaining minimum age of criminal liability

President Benigno Aquino III has signed into law a measure retaining the current minimum age of criminal liability, which is 15 years old.At a press conference Tuesday, deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said Aquino signed last October 3 Republic Act 10630 or an act strengthening RA 9344 or the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Act of 2006."There have been some changes in the composition of the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council but, for the most part, the minimum age of criminal responsibility stands at 15 years of age," she said. ...
