Comelec offices not spared from Bohol quake; poll postponement likely Oct 16th 2013, 05:36 Barangay elections may be postponed in select areas in Bohol following Tuesday morning's deadly earthquake that caused serious damage to Commission on Elections (Comelec) offices there, poll chairman Sixto Brillantes Jr. said Wednesday."Baka may mga major areas na kailangang hindi ituloy. This is really covered under Section 5 of the Omnibus Election Code," Brillantes said at a press briefing, citing the law that allows the postponement of elections due to natural disasters.The nationwide barangay elections are scheduled on October 28 where 54 million voters are expected to vote. ...
