2 'insiders,' Comelec exec make it to Overall Deputy Ombudsman shortlist Sep 9th 2013, 07:52 The Judicial and Bar Council (JBC) has selected three nominees for the post vacated last August by retired Overall Deputy Ombudsman Orlando Casimiro.Those on the shortlist were Melchor Arthur Carandang, with five votes; Roque Damian Dator, four votes; and Ferdinand Rafanan, four votes.The JBC currently has six members—three are ex-officio led by chairperson Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno, while the remaining three are regular members.A candidate needed to get a majority of the votes or at least four votes to be shortlisted. ...
