Lawyer: Negotiator's death stops Maguindanao massacre settlement Jun 25th 2013, 04:39 The supposed settlement between families of the Maguindanao massacre victims and members of the Ampatuan clan did not push through after the mediator was killed, a private prosecutor in the case said Tuesday."Hindi po natuloy ang pag-areglo. Hindi po natuloy dahil iyong binigyan ng authority na makipag-usap sa Ampatuan, siya po ay napatay din," said lawyer Harry Roque in a report on GMA News TV's "News To Go."Roque did not give details on the death of the supposed mediator, who was described as an "Ampatuan associate."
