SINAIT, Ilocos Sur - A moderately strong quake with a strength of 4.7 magnitude rocked some areas in Ilocos Sur on Monday night, but did not cause any damage to property, authorities said. Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) Researcher Porferio de Peralta said the quake happened at 8:54 p.m. with its epicenter at 23 kilometers northwest of Sinait, Ilocos Sur with a depth of 33 kilometers.
