A group of Philippine manufacturers on Monday asked the Supreme Court to prevent a party-list group of liquefied petroleum gas marketers from participating in the coming May mid-term elections. In a 25-page petition for certiorari, the Federation of Philippine Industries (FPI) Inc. said the Commission on Elections committed grave abuse of discretion amounting to lack or excess of jurisdiction when it approved the party-list bid of the LPG Marketers Association (LPGMA), through an ombinus resolution issued on December 13, 2012. ...
