Planning to get a Cherry Mobile Flare but still can’t find one in stores? Your best bet would probably the almost similarly-spec’ed Cherry Mobile Burst which also goes for Php3,999.
The Cherry Mobile Burst follows the hardware of the Flare having a 4-inch display on an 800 x 480 resolution. The only difference internally would be the lower-clocked 1GHz dual-core processor as compared to the 1.2GHz of the Flare. You will still get 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage with microSD slot, dual-SIM, dual-standby support, and 1500 mAh battery.
Aesthetically, the Burst has a more pebble-look if you want smooth curves on your phone. It also uses the current 3-button Android layout as opposed to the old 4-button mix.
Asked why they released an almost similar phone to a previous one, Cherry Mobile said it’s to complement the sales of Flare since the demand for the old 4-incher was overwhelming that supply cannot keep up. The Burst gives their customers an alternative for those who are still looking for a decent smartphone at the same price point as the Flare.
