171 hurt in NCR during New Year revelry - DOH Dec 31st 2012, 23:40 (Updated 6:17 a.m., 1 January 2013) At least 171 people in Metro Manila were injured in the New Year revelry, the Department of Health said early Tuesday. National Epidemiology Center head Dr. Enrique Tayag said the figure was based on a quick count by seven hospitals as of 6 a.m. But a separate report on dzBB radio said the number of fireworks-related injuries could go up to as high as 267.
