Over 60,000 sign petition asking for elephant Mali's transfer to Thailand — PETA Jan 14th 2013, 05:42 Animal rights group People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) will submit to the Department of Agriculture a petition asking for the transfer of Mali, Manila Zoo's lone elephant, to a sanctuary in Thailand. In a statement, PETA Asia campaign manager Rochelle Regodon said the printed version of the online petition with 60,177 signatures from around the world will be hand delivered to DA Sec.
