PMA cadet drowns in Ilocos after saving brother, uncle Jan 3rd 2013, 08:30 A Philippine Military Academy (PMA) cadet who was on a break from his foreign schooling drowned in Ilocos Sur province after he tried to save a younger brother and an uncle on New Year's Day. Nineteen-year-old Bryx Lee Betong was with his family on an outing at a mini-irrigation dam in Cervantes town when the incident occurred, according to PMA spokesman Capt. Lynette Flores. "He is still a cadet of the PMA but his status is 'on foreign schooling'," Flores said of Betong. "He is still a cadet of the PMA who is studying abroad. ...
