Senior Supreme Court justices attended Monday's flag-raising ceremony in Manila — the first time they did since the appointment of Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno who, incidentally, was out of the country on official business. Before this, Sereno, who is in the United States for a four-day official visit and "peer-to-peer exchange" with officials of the US justice system, has been the only one regularly attending the ceremony, with the senior justices skipping the event and only some junior justices present from time to time. ...
