Megastorm slams US Oct 30th 2012, 16:04 MANILA, Philippines - Hurricane "Sandy" slammed the eastern seaboard of the United States on Monday, leaving 17 people dead in seven states, tearing down trees and power lines with hurricane-strength gusts, and flooding parts of New York City.
